The Carers IW team provides information, support and advocacy to adults who look after another adult. Carers IW work with carers who either live on the Isle of Wight or care for someone living on the Isle of Wight, services are free to use and are confidential. Below are some of the services available from Carers IW.
Respite Weekends for Carers
The weekend offers carers a break away from caring, giving time for themselves and others who understand the difficulties carers face. Carers have the option of staying for the weekend (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon), attending on a daily basis or just for a meal or an activity. Carers IW aim to make this a relaxing, quality ‘time out’ experience for the carers with good food, interesting activities and complimentary therapies available four times a year.
One to One Support
Carers IW offer a range of services including the opportunity of 1-to-1 support for carers.
Carers IW provide a free quarterly newsletter to carers by email or posted to their home address. The newsletter is a regular update of our services and other useful information.
