Adult Social Care - Keeping Adults Safe

Safeguarding Adults Board

The Local Safeguarding Adults Board (LSAB) is a partnership between the Local Authority, Police, NHS, CCG and the independent and voluntary sector. The functions of the LSAB are:

  • To publish a strategic plan for each financial year that sets out how it will meet its main objective.
  • To publish an Annual report detailing what the LSAB has done during the year to achieve its main objective.
  • Conduct Safeguarding Adults reviews when an adult in its area dies as a result of abuse or neglect and there is a  concern that partner agencies could have worked more effectively to protect the adult.
