Answer: Yes it is located 50 yards east from the harbour. Although limited it does have shower and toilet facilities. The area is protected by a combination lock the number can be obtained from the harbour master - Related Link

Question: As a harbour user I need to get rid of a battery where is the closest area to do this ?

Answer: You are able to take it to Shaws Garage in East Street located behind the Solent View Inn . We will also be able to lend you a wheelbarrow available from the harbour masters office - Related Link

Answer: No boat hire is not avaliable, however there is a company running charter trips and also fishing trips, for full details of these services please contact the harbour master on 01983 613879 - Related Link

Question: Where are the nearest public toilets located?

Answer: From the harbour with your back to the sea turn left, 50 yards on you will see the toilets, these are open from April until the end of September. Toilets that are open all year can be found at the shore end of the pier - Related Link

Answer: The closest outlet to the harbour is Hursts in Union Street, Ryde during shop opening hours - Related Link

Question: When am I allowed to take a dog on the beach ?

Answer: Dogs are not permitted to go further than 100 metres from the high water mark regardless of prohibition. Dogs are prohibited from the beach between St Thomas's Slipway, to the west of The Pier, eastwards to Appley Tower between 1 May and 30 September. However, dogs are allowed onto the beach from Appley Tower to the cafe at Puckpool.

Question: Can I charge a flat battery ?

Answer: Flat batteries will be charged for harbour users whilst the harbour master is on duty. We are not able to charge these inside the harbour office for health and safety reasons but will endeavour to charge it for you outside the office - Related Link
