Service Update:

A new passenger launch timetable is in operation between Cowes and East Cowes from 24 February 2017 until May 2017. The launch is available whilst important works can be carried out in preparation for the arrival of the new floating bridge.

General Floating Bridge Information

The floating bridge operates 365 days a year and conveys foot passengers and vehicles on the short crossing of a few minutes, across the fast-flowing narrow mouth of the River Medina  between Cowes and East Cowes. The service operates for around 18 hours each day.

It operates Mondays to Saturdays between 5am and 12.30am and on Sundays between 6.40am and 12.30am. 

Books of vouchers are available from Halls Newsagents (East Cowes) and County Hall Reception (Newport).

Please note that the service may be suspended when there are exceptionally high or low tides (spring tides).
