Spoken-Word Evening Thursday 23rd April, 6.30pm - 8.30pm

To celebrate World Book Night Cowes library will be having a late night opening with a variety of the Isle of Wight's talented Spoken-Word artists performing. A member of staff will be available to take out books and DVDs throughout the evening.

Philo Cafe Thursday April 30th, 7pm - 9pm

This is a Supporters of Cowes Library supported event, sponsered by the Furtherance of Critical Philosophy (www.sfcp.org.uk).  This is an opportunity open to alll, who want to take part in philosophical discussion that matters in our lives, but in a casual way.  Taking part does not need any knowledge of academic philosophy.  Topics to be discussed will be: - 'Integrity in the workplace' and 'What is a community?'.  If you have an interest in joining contact Cowes Library on the 'contact' tab above or just come along.

Decade of Change 1910 to 1920 Exhibition

Cowes Heritage Group currently has part of their 'Decade of Change' Exhibition in the Library and will be constantly changing throughout the year showing information about the Great War and other factors during this momentous decade, which meant life in Cowes, Northwood and Gurnard would never be the same. The exhibition can be seen during normal opening hours.
