Funding for domestic abuse victims received
Support for domestic abuse survivors

The Isle of Wight Council, together with voluntary partners and other local authorities, has been awarded a total of £661,000, to improve refuge provision for victims of domestic abuse. The funding has been allocated to the region, which includes the local authorities of the Isle of Wight Council, Portsmouth and Southampton City Councils, and Hampshire County Council.

Local elections for young people on the Isle of Wight will be taking place in April; so if you feel strongly about local issues or have an interest in politics, then this could be the opportunity for you. Both the Isle of Wight Youth Council and Member of Youth Parliament positions will be voted on in April; nominations for both are sought by 17 March 2017.
