St Georges Way works nearing completion
Highways works at St George’s Way

Works to construct the new roundabout on St George’s Way, Newport and link to Pan Lane are nearing completion. These works include: upgrades to the signalling at the junction at St George’s Approach and Litten Park, a new signal controlled junction at St George's Way/Shide Road, and a new footway along St George’s Way with signal controlled pedestrian crossing.

Do you use your business van/ car to take your personal household recycling and waste to the recycling centre? From 5 June 2017, residents who use a van, commercial vehicle or sign written vehicle will need a new vehicle permit for use at household waste recycling centres (HWRCs).

A new commercial waste recycling centre (CWRC) at Lynnbottom Recycling Centre near Newport, will open from this week.

The CWRC will be for businesses and trade and will operate on a ‘pay as you throw’ basis with different charges depending on the type of waste or recycling being disposed of.
