The Isle of Wight Council is continuing to advise members of the public to stay away from a section of beach at Sandown as a precautionary measure, following the bringing ashore on the beach of a 36ft motor cruiser for salvaging which ran aground offshore overnight (Wednesday).

The Isle of Wight is now firmly on the map with potential investors and developers who could help to deliver Island regeneration, following the launch of the Isle of Wight Council’s regeneration programme to a crowd of over 150 delegates on Thursday (20 July 2017). Attendees were absorbed throughout the “Isle of Opportunities” showcase, hearing details of the regeneration opportunities available at key sites across the Island, including Newport Harbour, Ryde, and in the Bay area.
